Spring has finally made a breakthrough here in Minnesota! Tiny shoots are slowly emerging from the ground that has been covered with a thick layer of snow since December. For those of you who are impatient to see their gardens bloom or for those who’d simply like to try out my new design, here’s a video tutorial of my pretty little crocus flower. This is a simple model that requires two square pieces of paper. I found that the best dimensions for the flower are 7.5cm x 7.5cm (you can get 4 squares from a standard 15cm x 15cm piece of origami paper). The best dimensions for the leaf is 15cm x 1.875cm (you can get 8 rectangles from a standard 15cm x 15cm piece of origami paper).
